About the Role
Working across the full life-cycle of projects from scoping studies through to execution of EPC and EPCM.
Ability to lead and deliver mechanical technical solutions in accordance with project scope, time-frames and best practice standards.
Ability to prepare and deliver technical proposals to meet client requirements.
Develop a thorough understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost, and schedule.
Develop the mechanical work plan for inclusion into the project-specific execution plan.
Be a project lead and/or key contributor to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies including managing client and internal stakeholders.
Manage and review the Engineering Work Packages (EWP) associated with all deliverables and time-based functions to ensure that budgets and schedules are being met, and taking corrective action if necessary.
Review and approve mechanical technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings, etc.) and technical reports.
Assist in the preparation and development of project-specific procedures.
Lead and support the development of our junior mechanical engineers within project teams.
About You
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Chartered Engineer accreditation (CPEng or equivalent) or ability to achieve.
Extensive experience within detailed design projects, preferably in lead roles.
Technical expertise in materials handling, hydraulic design (pumps and pipes), and/or process plant design.
Proven success in an EPCM environment is desirable.
Extremely well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership and client liaison skills including experience in client-facing roles.
Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan the work.
Excellent understanding and belief in safety principles, standards, and legislation.
Prior experience in the minerals processing industry is highly advantageous.
