Operations Manager & Executive Assistant Ballarat Turf Club is seeking a proactive and organized Operations Manager & Executive Assistant to support the CEO in the smooth and effective operation of the Club. This dual role includes managing daily operational logistics, coordinating key projects, and assisting with major event planning. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance, manage contractor relations, and oversee OH&S obligations while providing comprehensive administrative support. Key Responsibilities: Manage Club operations and logistics, including infrastructure projects, contractor coordination, and event preparation. Provide administrative support to the CEO and committees, including document preparation and report submissions. Maintain compliance with OH&S standards, contractor documentation, and safety measures. Facilitate raceday and event setups, contractor coordination, and ensure site requirements are met. Engage in strategic planning and identify new business opportunities within the industry. Core Competencies Required: Experience in operations management, logistics, or OH&S. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. High level of attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work on weekends on occasion as racing and events calendar dictates. Desired Qualifications: Background in the racing industry or a related field. Formal qualification/training in a relevant field.
