**Applications are invited for our 6 or 12 month Senior Obstetric & Gynaecology HMO positions for 2025.
The Women’s Health Unit at Peninsula Health is looking to recruit Obstetric and Gynaecology HMOs to join our dynamic and positive team. Peninsula Health has a dynamic Women’s Health Unit with a broad range of services. We provide care for around 3000 births per year and have a rapidly growing Gynaecology service which has seen huge gains in surgical training opportunities.
We pride ourselves on a culture of support and mentoring, in addition to a strong collaborative relationship with midwives, nurses, allied health and other specialties. Research opportunities are available on site with statistical and Human Research Ethics Committee support.
Applicants require current medical board Registration and should be PGY3 or greater at time of role commencement. The position is for 6 or 12 months commencing from 3 February 2025.
What You Will Be Doing

Successful candidates will be offered:
* Experience in managing Obstetric and Gynaecologic patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
* Supervision and back up by Consultant Staff and Registrars
* Regular shifts in antenatal & gynaecology clinics, Gynaecology ward service, pregnancy assessment unit and on Labour Ward (including after hours and night duties
* Participation in supervision and teaching of Medical Students.
* The opportunity to attend theatre lists with accredited Registrars and Consultant
* Regular teaching and journal club sessions
* The opportunity to participate in research and clinical governance activities.
What You Need
* MBBS or equivalent
* Eligible for registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner
* PGY3+ at time of job commencement
