Job Description:
Operate and troubleshoot multi-vendor networks to identify and resolve issues quickly. Validate problem descriptions and perform detailed problem diagnosis; track and update problems in trouble-ticketing systems.
Perform investigations into functionality that is not working as desired. Review, consult, and prepare for planned change introduction to production environments.
Partner with teams to plan and execute software code upgrades and device maintenance. Maintain automations to investigate and resolve alerts and issues on the network.
Maintain internal tools to assist with operating the network infrastructure at scale. Provide feedback to infrastructure architects on design issues or improvements and input into the design process for new initiatives.
Design and Deploy Networks:
Design and deploy networks based on business and technical requirements. Partner with project and program managers to meet overall timelines and resolution of issues.
Qualifications:
* A good foundation in networking, including routing, switching, security, and load balancing.
* Routing (BGP/OSPF/ISIS/MPLS)
* Load Balancers
* Firewall
Nice to have: Automation (Ansible/Python), Linux, good troubleshooting skills under pressure, hands-on experience with TCP/IP protocols, and familiarity with Cisco IOS/NX-OS, JunOS, PAN-OS/FortiOS operating systems.
Ability to work and troubleshoot on a multi-vendor network comprising of Cisco, Juniper, Pal Alto, ADC, etc. Experience with one or more cloud computing technologies (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform, etc.), automation/scripting & Linux is a big plus.
Passion for customer experiences and focus on delivering high-quality support. Strong communication skills and empathy for customers. Ability to learn new technology in a fast-paced environment. Ability to deal with ambiguity.
