Job Title: General Practitioner – Ingham, Queensland.Hours: Permanent - Full TimePractice Information:This practice is an RACGP and ACRRM accredited teaching practice, located in the town of Ingham, North Queensland (RRMA 5 classification, RA3). It is a purpose-built building and has been operating for 30 years. Currently, there are four (4) full time doctors, and they are looking to recruit a further doctor. The practice offers audiometry, spirometry, skin checks and ECGs, as well as a variety of health checks and medicals. Sullivan and Nicolaides Pathology are on site, along with Rural Medical Imaging providing CT, USS and X-ray. The practice has visiting allied health services including a podiatrist, an audiologist, a dental prosthetist, a diabetes educator, psychologist, dietician, exercise physiologist, and a visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon. Registered and enrolled nurses provide continuous medical officer support. They are a registered Q-fever and yellow fever vaccination centre, providing the usual private and NHS vaccinations. Visits to patients at nursing homes are undertaken, fostering good relationships with local facilities. Regular social evenings and family outings are part of the practice culture, creating a genuine, caring environment staffed by pleasant, motivated people.Position Details:This position includes a diverse range of medical conditions that present to a rural General Practice, including but not limited to: Antenatal Care, Chronic Disease Management, Paediatric Conditions, Employment Medicals, Mental Health, Women's Health Checks, Adult and Childhood Immunisations, Men's Health Checks, and Travel Medicine advice. The practice of preventative medicine is essential as our population is aging.Qualifications & Experience: AHPRA registration is requiredPreferred 3 years General Practice experience as assessed by RACGP or AHPRASalary Information:65% of receipts or $150.00 per hour for the first 12 weeks, whichever is greater plus 65% of Service Incentive Payments (negotiable).About Ingham:Ingham is a rural centre towards the southern end of the Wet Tropics World Heritage area.
