Schema Therapy Institute Australia is a boutique clinical practice that specialises in providing Schema Therapy (ST) to a range of complex clinical presentations across the lifespan.
The Schema Therapy Institute consists of a small and specialised team. We are looking for new members to join our team. Potential candidates must be trained in mental health and challenging clinical and behavioural presentations. It is preferred that prospective candidates have prior experience and training in ST, or at least demonstrate a keen interest in learning how to utilise ST in their everyday clinical practice. Prior work experience in working with personality disorders is also preferred. The position will be providing individual treatment at the Essendon location (Carlton where possible).
About the employee role You will be responsible for providing individual clinical treatment to patients referred for a variety of mental health conditions. The successful applicant will have excellent knowledge of psychological assessment and intervention skills, developed through previous clinical experience. The role requires a person who is passionate about providing high quality clinical care and working with complex presentations, curious, motivated to learn, and who conducts themselves as an open and collaborative team member. We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated professional who is a team player but equally thrives in an autonomous role. The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and able to quickly adjust to our dynamic work environment.
One Part-time role to start late April; Clinical registrars who are at the tail end of their registrar program will be considered. Key Selection Criteria: Registration as a Mental health practitioner with the Allied Health Regulatory Board of Australia (AHPRA).Medicare Provider Number and awareness of Medicare requirements.High-level written and oral communication skills.Experience/ability to provide group programs and individual therapy to child, adolescent and/or adult clients presenting with a myriad of treatment needs.
