Acting Associate Midwifery Unit Manager, Women's Outpatients Department
About the Opportunity
* Provide nursing/midwifery services and ensure quality, patient-centered care for women and their babies at a proficient to expert level.
* Accept accountability for personal practice standards and responsibilities for activities delegated to others, including guiding and developing less experienced staff.
* Demonstrate leadership, management, education, and clinical skills essential for a learning organization in a multidisciplinary environment, with effective cultural competency.
* Practice within agreed evidence-based practice standards and integrate advanced clinical knowledge to deliver care tailored to each patient's needs and achieve agreed outcomes.
* Maintain strong, positive relationships with stakeholders and ensure services are continuously evaluated and improved through participation and consultation.
* Demonstrate positive attitudes, well-developed communication skills, and the ability to contribute to optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic environment.
About You
* Be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and Midwife or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds or who is eligible to hold a current practising certificate.
* Have registered Nurse/Midwife experience with at least 3 years post registration experience.
* Have demonstrated competence in the relevant area of midwifery practice in accordance with competency standards and relevant professional college standards, at proficient to expert level.
* Have experience in the supervision of student nurses/midwives, enrolled nurses and less experienced staff.
* Have experience in developing and implementing midwifery practice standards and policies.
