Community Recycling Centre Attendant Permanent, full-timeLET’S EXPLORE THE JOBThe Belmont North Community Recycling Centre Attendant is a member of the Waste Operations team and is responsible for operating the Belmont North Community Recycling Centre for the acceptance of approved household problem wastes and recyclable materials.The role undertakes a range of functions related to the centre, including receipt of problem wastes and managing operational performance to ensure the centre exceeds compliance requirements and ensuring positive customer service is delivered to the community.What this exciting role will do:Provide positive customer service to customers as they enter the community recycling centre including directing them to appropriate disposal areas.Ensure customers utilise the appropriate disposal areas and containers for disposal of their waste and recycling material types.Undertake safe operation of all equipment onsite including the cardboard baler, polystyrene densifying machine and forklift.Provide accurate information for potential disposal options of materials not accepted at the community recycling centre.Assist customers in the safe unloading of materials from their vehicles.Manage full containers, bins and stillages swapping them out for empty to ensure adequate capacity for customers.Arrange collection of stillages, cardboard compactor bin and other materials.LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOUYou are a reliable team player who prides themselves on completing their tasks efficiently and to a high standard.Having worked in a similar position you are physically fit and capable of unloading waste and recycling materials from vehicles to place into storage receptables and stillages.Ability to identify approved household problem wastes and recyclable materials.Ability to identify prohibited wastes and provide information of how to dispose.You work well under minimal supervision and have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service to the community.Ability to interpret and follow safe working procedures.Hold a Class C drivers licence and NSW General Construction Induction card or equivalent.LET’S REVEAL THE PERKSCompetitive salary from $59,492 to $69,662 per hour + 12% superannuation.Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range.Enterprise Agreement pay increases apply.We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive workforce.
