About the opportunity Mercy Hospital for Women, located in Heidelberg, is a major maternity hospital and specialist referral centre, providing care to over 5,800 families and babies last year.
Mercy Hospital for Women provides complex care for obstetric, neonatal and gynaecology patients, with 229 inpatient beds, 33 Special Care Nursery cots and 28 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit cots.
As a valued member of our Antenatal and Postnatal inpatient wards, you will be working alongside our multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care to our mums, babies and families, placing patients at the centre of all we do.

Summary of the role: Permanent Full-time/Part-time positions available Opportunities to work across the scope of Midwifery practice Exposure to a wide variety of clinical scenarios and opportunities to care for some of the most complex, high risk pregnancies and births in Victoria Ongoing professional development opportunities with dedicated educational resources in a supportive environment Onsite Lactation Consultants to support Midwives in day-to-day patient management Maintain a work-life balance working a flexible rotating roster working AM, PM and Night Shift with the option of permanent night shift Visa sponsorship available for eligible applicants if required Salary is in line with the Enterprise Agreement and will be based on your years of experience (hourly base rate between $34.03 and $46.86) What you'll bring You're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart.

Registration as a Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or in the process of obtaining AHPRA Registration Minimum of Level 2 RANZCOG or working towards Demonstrated credentialing for newborn discharge examinations or working towards You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
