The Role
At Infinite Aged Care, Housekeeping Assistants play a critical role in providing quality housekeeping and cleaning services which focus on infection control and ensure a safe and healthy living environment for residents.
Working closely with the Facility Manager and the Hotel Services Team Leader, you will be responsible for cleaning resident rooms and common areas as well as providing laundry services and generally ensuring that residents' daily needs are met.
This role is a physical one whereby you will do a lot of bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing items to carry out your daily tasks safely. It is important you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself, your colleagues, and our residents.
About You
Compassionate, with a customer service mindset, you are a strong communicator and problem solver who ‘thinks on your feet’, builds supportive relationships, and strives for the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and order within the entire facility.
At Infinite Aged Care, we hire on attitude and aptitude, so you DO NOT need experience in the aged care sector, but you do need to be aligned with our philosophy and values, have strong communication skills, be computer literate, and a commitment to resident wellbeing, as well as the following:
* Demonstrated cleaning experience desirable.
* Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
* Ability to problem solve, work with limited supervision and ‘think on your feet’.
* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
