You will be responsible for
:
* Ensuring productivity objectives are effectively communicated to your team to optimise plant throughput and minimising equipment downtime
* Allocating day-to-day work priorities during shutdown preparation to a range of disciplines, ensuring work is conducted safely
* Motivating employees to perform, measuring team performance and addressing issues as they arise
* Developing and maintaining a productive relationship with crew members whilst assisting in the development of operator training programmes
* Responsible for the health and safety of all personnel and the reporting of any environmental and/or WH&S incidents, accidents, or discharges
About You
This role will suit a solution focused and experienced Process Operator looking to development their career in this Leading Hand position.
You will also have:
* Experience in a Leading Hand role within a continuous operating plant
* Understanding of chemical and mechanical processes
* Strong understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large-scale, continuous operating processing plants
* Proven experience aligned to following workplace HSE procedures, legislation policies, and management systems
* Experience with shift work / rostering planning with good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation and spread sheet applications
* A current and valid Australian Manual Driver’s Licence
* Past experience leading a team in a similar plant environment
* Exposure to working with Work Area Permit Systems
* Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, WAH, CSE, LF, and EWP tickets (Advantageous)
