The ideal candidate should possess a robust diverse legal background, particularly in Family law, Criminal Law, Commercial Law, Conveyancing and Wills and Estates. This role is crucial in supporting our clients, and in contributing to our strategic growth initiatives.The Key responsibilities include: Provide comprehensive legal advice and services on Family law, Criminal Law, Commercial Law, Conveyancing and Wills and EstatesInterview clients to understand the nature of their legal issues, develop and maintain strong client relationships, and recommend tailored legal solutions to meet their needs.Independently advising clients on matters including taking instructions, preparing letters of advice, general day to day correspondence and management of the file;Preparing matters for court including Researching, drafting and managing Court documents.Court attendance including mentions, directions hearings, conciliation conferences, mediations, interim hearings, urgent applications, and instructing counsel in final hearings.Prepare and review contracts critically to ensure they meet legal standards and protect client interests.Ensure compliance with Australian legal and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the firm's strategic goals and business development initiatives;To be successful for the role you will have the following: Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in law with at least 5 years post-admission experience.Current practising certificate or eligibility for grant of a local practising certificate.Skills and Experience Experience in appearing in Court including hearings/trials;Broad experience in interpreting and applying legislationExceptional drafting skills and written work.Demonstrated capacity to cultivate and sustain robust client relationships.Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of handling sensitive situations empathetically and professionally.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.Exceptional time management skills and adeptness at working effectively under pressure including the ability to prioritise tasks and competing deadlinesA demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and organise workload to meet tight deadlines;Strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to complex matter research and client outcome focus;Commitment to upholding ethical standards and values, with a focus on integrity and confidentiality;Outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities;Knowledge of LEAP preferable but not essential;be willing to do a Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check;hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency;must hold valid NSW drivers license and the ability to travel.
