About the Role:RSP is currently seeking a skilled Senior Governance Lead to ensure our operations comply with relevant legislation, strategic governance frameworks, and ethical standards.
In this creative and fast-paced environment, you will design and implement governance frameworks, provide ongoing advice on risk and compliance, and foster a transparent, supportive culture across the studios.
Reporting to the company president, you will collaborate closely with our retained legal advisors on contractual, technology, commercial transactions, privacy, data security, intellectual property, and employment matters.
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in meeting all legislative and compliance requirements.You will also work with the global network, Executive Team and Executive Assistant to the President in supporting governance activities for ensuring seamless organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities:Governance & Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain internal governance policies and frameworks to support compliant and effective business operations.
Monitor and advise on legislative and regulatory changes impacting the studios, ensuring timely updates to policies and practices.
Promote a culture of ethical behaviour and transparency across all levels of the organisation.
Risk Management & Advisory: Provide risk-based advice on contractual, procurement, and technology matters, collaborating with external legal counsel.
Oversee major projects, commercial transactions, and privacy/data security considerations.
Board/Trust & Subcommittee Support Prepare, manage, and coordinate governance documentation and reporting.
Assist in organizing meetings, drafting agendas, and maintaining accurate records for compliance and reporting purposes.
Support committee members and internal stakeholders by ensuring effective communication channels and streamlined processes.
Essential Qualifications and Experience: Formal qualifications in business, accounting, legal, risk management, governance, compliance, or audit – or a combination of relevant experience and education in a related discipline.
3–5 years of experience in governance, risk, and compliance, with working knowledge of applicable regulations, policies, and best practices.
Proven track record managing governance, risk, or compliance frameworks (e.g., business continuity planning, privacy frameworks, privacy breach assessments).
Strong communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels and fostering accountability.
Analytical problem-solver with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical and accessible processes for staff.
Experience preparing documentation and reporting for Boards and Audit & Risk Committees.
High level of discretion, sensitivity, and pragmatism in managing sensitive or confidential matters.
Demonstrated experience building productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other digital compliance tools.
