Join Our Team as a Planning Engineer in the Beautiful Isaac Region About the Role: Isaac Regional Council (IRC) is on the lookout for a dynamic and motivated Planning Engineer to join our Water & Waste Directorate on a five-year fixed-term full-time contract, based in the vibrant town of Moranbah. Reporting to the Manager of Planning and Projects, you'll play a crucial role in developing and delivering our Capital Works Program. You'll coordinate and develop infrastructure plans and capital projects, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations while optimizing maintenance costs through full life-cycle cost assessments. Your extensive knowledge of engineering and management concepts related to water and waste infrastructure, along with your strong understanding of design specifications, will be invaluable. You should have: A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Extensive experience in planning, project development, and asset management of water and waste infrastructure. Demonstrated program and project management skills using industry-recognized methodologies. Experience with water and waste hydraulic modeling packages (Infoworks and WaterGEMS preferred). Proven ability to manage project scope, timeframes, and costs. Strong leadership skills to manage and supervise staff and consultant/contractor project teams.
