We are currently seeking applications for Senior Sonographer positions within the Medical Imaging Department at Townsville University Hospital (Level 6 tertiary referral hospital with 755 beds). The Senior Sonographer delivers high-level clinical ultrasound and provides professional leadership within a vibrant, supportive, multidisciplinary team environment.
The successful candidates will be a part of a busy and thriving team of Sonographers closely supported by the Radiology Consultants, Registrars, Nursing staff, and Clinical Assistants, as a part of our daily operations.

About the opportunity: 5 general rooms within the hospital a vascular lab (operated by the trained vascular sonographers and vascular surgeons) services provided to outreach clinics, Ingham & Palm Island. The varied workload includes general, emergency, high-risk obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatric including neonatal ICU. Services provided are 7 days a week including on-call and weekend services.
Current equipment includes GE Voluson E10, GE logiq E10 ultrasound, Canon Aplio i800 imaging, and Philips Epiq.

What's on offer? Permanent Full-time and/or Part-time positions, hours negotiable + Fixed Term Temporary Part-time position up to 12 months, 28 hours per fortnight.
Pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value up to $157,360 p.a., comprising base salary range $128169- $137,918 p.a. (full-time) or $64.64 - $69.55 p.h. (part-time) (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (HP4).
