About the opportunity: As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing financial leadership, expertise and support to our Holcim Aggregates business unit .
You will analyse business performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop financial models to support business decisions and growth.
As the 2IC to the Aggregates CFO – your insights will contribute to financial planning, business performance and strategic decision-making and you will ensure that business units maintain good governance over the financial records, adhere to Holcim Minimum Control standards and maintain good business performance.
Detailed responsibilities are found in the position description which is available upon request and your accountabilities will include: Leading, managing and developing your direct reports to achieve the objectives set by the Holcim Finance Leadership Team.
Acting as the Subject Matter Expert for financial feasibility assessments for investment proposals including improving the process and coaching other members of the team in best practice.
Building strong relationships with the Aggregates Leadership Team and regional management teams to understand business drivers and support business objectives.
Providing financial guidance and support to inform business decisions.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business strategies.
Identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.
Evaluating investment opportunities and developing business cases.
Providing financial training and support to non-finance staff.
Participating in special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required.
Analysing financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborating with the Aggregates Leadership Team to drive monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
Leading the forecast, budget and Mid Term Plan (MTP) process.
Ensuring detailed understanding between forecast and actual business performance.
Performing overview EBIT validation at month ends.
About You: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Chartered Accountant (GAA affiliate member e.g.
CA ANZ) or CPA Relevant industry experience (e.g.
resources, industrial services, engineering and construction industry) would be advantageous but not essential.
Advanced computer skills - Google Suite and Excel.
Experience in roles or projects requiring problem solving, analytical thinking, vision and leadership.
Demonstrated experience in building relationships, business partnering and influencing peers and stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for driving business performance and a commitment to both safety and sustainability.
