About the Role:
We are seeking a permanent, full-time, values-driven Case Worker to join our AOD team in Townsville or Rowes Bay, QLD.
Reporting to the AOD Team Leader you will be responsible for providing effective service delivery and ensuring case management, assessment and referral, education and support are provided in accordance with The Salvation Army guidelines (within a comprehensive participant-led, recovery-based framework).
Salary in accordance with SCHADS Level 4 Award.
Key Responsibilities: Provide efficient day to day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral and case work within a recovery-orientated and person-led service environment.Develop and monitor individual treatment plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures.Undertake ad hoc duties as requested by the Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Case Worker.Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high quality services.Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for participants.About you: Minimum of Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management).Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment).Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours utilising de-escalation techniques.At least two years' experience in recovery, if applicable.Sound computer literacy.Ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes.Ability to develop and tailor programs to meet participants' needs.Why work for us: Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.Generous Paid Parental Leave for primary & secondary carers, Purchased Leave Scheme and Workplace Support Leave (for participating in Salvos initiatives).Flexible working arrangements (role dependent), access to Fitness Passport and consumer discounts.Employee Assistance Program and a culturally safe and supportive work environment dedicated to employee well-being.Ongoing training and development opportunities that enhance on the job skills and proficiency.Person-centred, values-based careers that have positive and sustainable social impacts and make a tangible difference to the lives of vulnerable people and communities.How to Apply:
