* Position: Site Project Construction Supervisor
* Pay Rate: $100-$110 flat rate per hour + super
* Location: Eastern Creek, NSW
* Duration: ASAP till March 2025 - when project will end
* Shifts: 5 days a week. 8-10 hours a day
* Work Conditions:
o Primarily site-based with potential for occasional office work.
o Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as needed.
Role Summary:
The Site Project Construction Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of a construction project on an industrial process industry site. This role focuses on coordinating subcontractors, managing site operations, ensuring quality outcomes, guiding safety, and providing frontline leadership to ensure the project are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordination of Subcontractors:
o Supervise and coordinate the activities of all subcontractors on-site to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
o Conduct regular meetings with subcontractors to review progress, address issues, and communicate project expectations.
o Verify that subcontractors have the necessary resources and support to complete their tasks effectively.
2. Site Operations Management:
o Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
o Monitor site operations to ensure they are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
o Coordinate logistics, including the delivery and storage of materials and equipment, to minimize disruptions and delays.
3. Quality Management:
o Maintain quality control procedures to ensure construction work meets the required standards and specifications.
o Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues or deficiencies.
o Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
4. Safety Guidance:
o Promote a strong safety culture on-site by enforcing compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and regulations.
o Conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks to ensure all site personnel are aware of potential hazards and safety protocols.
o Respond to and investigate safety incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
5. Frontline Leadership:
o Provide direct supervision and leadership to the on-site construction team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
o Mentor and support team members, encouraging professional development and continuous learning.
o Resolve conflicts and issues on-site promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal impact on project progress.
6. Reporting and Documentation:
o Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including work progress, resource usage, and any issues encountered.
o Prepare and submit regular progress reports to project management, highlighting key achievements and potential risks.
o Ensure all site documentation is organized and accessible for review and compliance purposes.
Qualifications:
* Education: Trade Qualification, Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in a supervisory role within the industrial process industry, particularly with brownfields construction projects.
* Certifications: Relevant construction and safety certifications / experience
* Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o In-depth knowledge of construction processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
o Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
o Proficient in using construction management software and tools
