With ongoing expansion locally and nationally, Hames Sharley is in search of talented Graduate Urban Planner to work out of our Perth Studio on a either a 12-month contract or in a permanent position. This presents exciting opportunities to engage in various sectors and advance professionally within one of Australia's largest multi-disciplinary practices.
The Graduate Urban Planner role focuses on strengthening the company's reputation as a leading provider of urban development, design, and planning services across government, institutional, business, and commercial sectors.
Your responsibilities will include: Conduct urban design analysis and produce plans, graphics, and reports to support client decision-making.Co-manage projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and management plans.Assist in business development through proposals, tenders, and client relationship building.Research and apply urban design knowledge to create context-driven solutions.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on urban design projects.Pursue professional development and represent the company at industry events.Ensure quality assurance and clear communication with clients and project teams.Deliver project outcomes that meet or exceed client expectations.To be successful in this role, you should have the below skillset: Degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Planning, or a related fieldStrong collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment.Effective communication skills for client relationships and team collaboration.Research and analysis skills to produce quality reports and plans.Knowledge of urban design frameworks and planning processes.Aware of project management and coordination.Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and SketchUp.Ability to manage client relationships and support business growth.At Hames Sharley, we place significant emphasis on fostering a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal well-being.
