We are currently seeking a senior finance officer to join one of our not-for-profit clients, with a payroll base of over 150 pax. Working on Ngunnawal land, this position plays a vital role in supporting the Finance Manager by ensuring that all financial and payroll transactions are meticulously processed and recorded. You'll help guarantee that expenditures align with our clients agreed budgets while upholding financial policies and procedures. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will make a significant impact on financial integrity and operational success for the organisation.
The Role:
* Process electronic transfers, payment runs, and daily bank reconciliations
* Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and manage asset registers with monthly depreciation
* Assist with month-end journals, annual budgets, and statutory financial reports
* Provide cash flow management support and travel expense analysis
* Perform regular payroll, resolve discrepancies, and process superannuation
* Manage time sheeting system, including on-boarding and leave balances
* Prepare and lodge quarterly BAS and annual FBT returns
Skills and qualifications:
* An undergraduate qualification in accounting or equivalent level of education and experience is desirable
* Experience working within a not for profit highly desirable
* Experience in Payroll is a must, AP highly desirable

* The ability to demonstrate resilience and adaptability, including flexibility to manage workloads and provide advice in an evolving environment
* Demonstrated knowledge of accrual accounting principles, and sound financial management governance
* Ability to work as part of a team
