About the role
As an experienced mammographer you can be prepared to deliver exceptional client centered care to this client group.
This is a permanent part-time role with Grampians BreastScreen, there is a requirement for some level of flexibility in delivery of the service and the successful applicant will also provide some assessment clinic services at agreed periods throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
Specific duties will include but are not limited to:
* Perform screening mammography, stereotactic breast biopsies and hookwire localisations as required.
* Perform mammography a minimum of 150 hours/year in order to meet eligibility criteria for CMP (Certificate of Mammography Practice)
* Produce high quality images in line with the PGMI guidelines and in line with Volpara
* Confidently perform quality assurance related to mammography.
Must carry out work duties in a safe manner in accordance with policy and procedure in place at Grampians Health Radiography
Must be able to assist the Grampians BreastScreen team in achievement of ongoing accreditation status
Will adopt a quality improvement mindset and work alongside the multidisciplinary team in a collaborative manner to continually improve work processes and the best client outcomes.
Key Selection criteria:
* Medical Radiation Technologists Board of Victoria Licence
* Hold or working towards CMP - Certificate of Mammography Practice
* High level organisational skills, with ability to work independently and with flexibility.
* High level of interpersonal, communication and counselling/supportive care skills.
* High level clinical ability demonstrating evidence based best practice
