Your impact, with us
As our highly valued Medical Secretary, you’ll use your skills and expertise to provide quality care to patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
Based in Auchenflower and Clayfield, you’ll be responsible for providing support to our patients, and clinicians by dealing with telephone and email enquiries, assessing urgency of enquiry in accordance with practice guidelines, helping to improve people’s health and lives and shaping our organisation’s future.
You’ll make a meaningful impact by:
* Work efficiently in a fast-paced administrative role where patient care is our focus
* Act as the first point of contact to patients, greeting them on arrival and accurately processing relevant paperwork
* Adapt to and manage an environment where there is ongoing change and competing priorities
* Provide timely, accurate and professional secretarial support to the respective cardiologists
* Effective management of diaries, all incoming correspondence, management of GP and referring doctor requests and calls.
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care and customer service, ideally in a medical/healthcare environment
* Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to efficiently work as a proactive member of a multi-disciplinary team and the ability to nurture positive connections with patients.
* Experience in billing/receipting medical accounts, Medicare and DVA billing
* Exceptional phone manner and ability to handle a high volume of patient enquiries
* High attention to detail and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
