Job Description - Regional Commissioning Manager (263372)
The Opportunity
UGL Utilities team are currently looking for an experienced Regional Commissioning Manager to be based in our Perth office.
Reporting to the Project Director, some of your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and coordinating all commissioning activities for projects, ensuring systems are tested, operational and meet design and performance specifications.
2. Developing detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to ensure timely and efficient completion of commissioning milestones.
3. Leading and managing a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-performance outcomes.
4. Collaborating with project managers, design teams, clients, and contractors to address commissioning requirements, resolve issues, and ensure seamless integration into operational systems.
5. Ensuring that all commissioning activities comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards, as well as regulatory requirements, maintaining thorough documentation throughout the process.
About you
1. A degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field) or equivalent industry experience, with a professional accreditation or membership (e.g. Engineers Australia) preferred.
2. Proven track record in managing commissioning activities within large-scale infrastructure, energy, transmission line, substation, industrial or renewable energy sectors.
3. Strong experience in leading and mentoring teams, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering and technical personnel effectively.
4. Comprehensive understanding of processes, system integration, and industry specific standards, along with relevant software tools and methodologies.
5. In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements, with certifications such as HV Switching, White Card or similar credentials highly regarded.
