Both in general and fluoroscopic radiography.Ensuring compliance with the ‘as low as reasonably achievable’ (ALARA) principle whilst using ionising and non-ionising radiation to provide images.Assess medical requests, patient status and capabilities, ensuring procedure preparation is adequate and in accordance with correct protocol.Use imaging equipment and associated accessories safely.Assess and monitor quality of images to ensure appropriate standards are maintained.Negotiate with medical staff in assessing the nature and urgency of examinations.Ensure that the referring clinician is advised of medically urgent radiological findings.Liaise with staff and the general public in matters relating to general radiography.Candidate must be Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia. Fourth year students 2024, eligible to apply pending full registration.The Team:The LGH radiology department has an annual turnover of over 70,000 examinations and is staffed 24/7 with shifts and on call. We have a great team and ongoing professional development in the department.Details of appointment:Permanent full time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary: $71,441 to $107,878 per annum.
