RM Engineering Solutions are a team of motivated engineering professionals delivering practical electrical, control, automation, instrumentation and telemetry design solutions. Our team have a strong presence in the water industry working with a range of Clients including large scale water utilities, local councils, tier 1 contractors, international design houses and equipment OEMs.
RM strive to add value to the projects we undertake and due to organic growth we are seeking a mid-level Engineer to join our Newcastle-based team.
In this role your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting in all phases of projects including planning, design, development, implementation, and commissioning
2. Developing quality designs and solutions with a client focused attitude
3. Delivering projects on-time and in line with budget and cost expectations
4. Assist with quoting and tendering for upcoming works
5. Approaching all facets of the role with a safety focus
Desirable skills and experience:
1. Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering or similar
2. Water industry experience
3. Proficiency in control and PLC/SCADA system design and programming (Schneider PLCs/RTUs and ClearSCADA highly regarded)
4. Low voltage distribution and power systems design
5. Low voltage protection and arc flash modelling (experience in PowerCAD regarded)
6. Motor control centre, motor starter and instrumentation design
7. Plant and telemetry communication system design and programming
8. Electrical drafting using AutoCAD software
9. Project engineering and project management experience
10. Ability to work autonomously
11. Excellent communication skills
12. Experience with onsite commissioning
