Mackay Canegrowers Limited (MCL) trading as CANEGROWERS Mackay is an integral part of the CANEGROWERS organisation, the peak body representing Australia's sugarcane growers in Queensland and New South Wales. MCL provides services, representation and support to the majority of cane growers across the Mackay and Plane Creek regions on a wide range of issues.
Main Responsibilities Provision of support to Communications and Membership Development Manager, and to Growers Services. Assist with organisational marketing, advertising sales, and content generation across multiple platforms including in-house publications (member magazine, e-news and circulars, annual report, brochures), traditional media, digital/social media. Coordination and delivery of events. Coordination of our training programs, including liaison with Registered Training Organisations, and with funding bodies (including preparation of funding applications and reporting). Provision of services and assistance to cane farming client base. Provision of administrative duties as required, including support to reception. Completion of reports. Support of other roles on an 'as needs' basis. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will ideally have the following skills and attributes, which should be addressed in your cover letter supplied with application:
Demonstrated experience in communications content generation. Demonstrated experience in delivery of projects and events. Excellent customer service ethic and commitment to member services, and to working co-operatively with related industry and regional organisations in the Mackay Canegrowers Ltd network. A strong focus on working efficiently in a team environment, including maintenance of in-house communications, deadlines and procedures, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues. Capacity to work independently where required. A high level of organisational skills and the ability to schedule and meet deadlines in a timely and efficient manner with close attention to detail. The ability to exercise initiative, discretion and judgement in the performance of duties. Be eager to adopt new scopes of work. A sound knowledge of the suite of Microsoft Software programs. Experience with Wordpress, Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and InDesign), Microsoft CRM and Click Dimensions, or similar, will be favourable. The position reports to the Communications and Membership Development Manager and will be a Monday to Friday role working a 37.5 hour week at our Mackay Office.
