About the College
Newman Catholic College, located on the James Cook University site in Smithfield, is a newly opened college as part of Cairns Catholic Education's system of 29 schools and colleges. With approximately 140 Year 7 students and growing by one year level each year until Year 12 in 2027, our college offers unique opportunities to meet the diverse learning needs of our students. We collaborate closely with James Cook University to enhance learning and teaching at all year levels.

About the Role
The Technologies Support Officer will provide assistance to the Leader of Technologies in preparing resources and materials for classes, as well as supporting students during lessons, under the direction of the Leader of Technologies or Technologies teachers.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of resources and materials for classes
* Student support during lessons, as directed
* Routine tasks across various contexts, requiring some complexity in action selection and time management
* Collaboration with the team, utilizing good interpersonal and communication skills
