About the Business Unit: The Department of Justice and Community Safety consists of eight regions that provide compliance, enforcement, and regulatory services to the Victorian community.The Loddon Mallee Region offers services at Justice Service Centres in Bendigo, Swan Hill, Echuca, and Mildura, as well as at outreach locations across the region, such as Castlemaine, Maryborough, Kerang, Robinvale, Kyneton, and Ouyen.Corporate Services is responsible for providing the Loddon Mallee Region with a range of corporate support functions, including administration, finance, procurement, fleet, facilities management, and risk management.About the Role: The Justice Officer Team Leader leads a team of Justice Officers at the Justice Service Centres, and is responsible for the efficient delivery of administration, operational support and reception services in a team environment.The Justice Officer team provides operational and administrative support and client services to underpin the effective and efficient delivery of Justice Operations and community engagement services delivered from the Justice Service Centres.The Justice Officer Team Leader, in conjunction with the location managers, will ensure that the administrative and support services team are sufficiently resourced and skilled to meet the needs of their role.From time to time the Justice Officer Team Leader will act as an escalation point to resolve operational support and client service delivery problems raised by location managers, team members and clients of the Justice Service Centres.The Justice Officer Team Leader will assist with incident management as a member of the Incident Response Team as well as assist in the management of the physical assets of the Service Centre, authorising building access to Contractors & visitors, and in collaboration with the Business Support Supervisor, liaising with Built Environment & Building Sustainability regarding security and building issues.The Justice Officer Team Leader will monitor service delivery standards, identify emerging service delivery issues and recommend appropriate and timely solutions to those problems.Some of your duties will include: Supervising a team of administrative staff to ensure effective delivery of operational support, administrative and client services, including routine supervision, performance planning, training needs analysis and mentoring as appropriate.Providing and demonstrating positive leadership and direction in a high-capacity front counter environment, ensuring that the level of service and hospitality exhibited towards the Department's clients and fellow employees are consistently delivered at the highest level of professionalism and customer service excellence.In line with agreed regional business plans, managing and co-ordinating a range of administrative business functions and projects.
