Hume Anglican Grammar is a multi-campus co-educational Anglican Diocesan School offering education from Prep to Year 12 in the Northern growth corridor of Melbourne.

About the role:
Hume now calls for applications for the position of Executive Assistant to the Principal. This role will be full time (1.0FTE), ongoing and will be based at our beautiful Mt Ridley campus, commencing on Monday, 13 January 2025.
The Executive Assistant to the Principal plays a pivotal role in executive management and is a highly respected position within School organisation. This role has significant responsibility for providing exceptional administrative, organisational and secretarial support to the Principal to ensure the smooth running of the office.
The Executive Assistant to the Principal has overall responsibility for the organisation of the Principal's office and works very closely with the Senior Leadership Team. They act as an efficient and effective conduit between the Principal and the students, staff and parents.
The Executive Assistant to the Principal upholds the highest level of integrity and trust. They represent the School and the Principal with self-confidence and discernment, and embody dignity and formality. They liaise with senior personnel from external organisations, care for the needs of dignitaries and act as outstanding hosts.
The Executive Assistant to the Principal exhibits the highest level of judgement to ensure disruptions to the Principal's schedule are minimised, whilst balancing the need to maintain their visibility and accessibility. They foresee the impact of future activities, anticipate work demands and proactively engage themselves in the Principal's schedule.
The Executive Assistant to the Principal is a part of the Administration Staff and works collaboratively in a team environment to support and enrich their collective responsibilities as well as continuing to build and model Hume's collegial and values led culture. They promote a culture of mutual respect, encouragement, and work with others in a professional, ethical and cooperative manner ensuring the School is presented in a positive and welcoming light.
Requirements of the Role:
A current Working With Children check. Demonstrated relevant experience assisting a School Principal or equivalent Senior Executive. Outstanding organisational skills, planning, analytical and high order thinking capabilities. Relevant experience assisting and supporting executive level management meetings. Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships. Highly proficient computer skills in the MS Office suite including Outlook and Word.
