What you will be doing in this role As a Casual Registered Nurse on the Children’s Ward, you'll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to our young patients, while also offering support to their families and caregivers. You’ll care for children who have undergone various procedures, such as tonsil and adenoid surgeries, grommet insertions, hernia repairs, as well as those recovering from medical illnesses and surgeries. With your warm, caring nature and experience in a paediatric setting, you will provide comfort and reassurance, helping children and their families through challenging moments with a gentle and skilled approach. The role requires you to demonstrate sound clinical skills and knowledge, along with strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities. This position is perfect for someone who is dedicated to making a positive impact on the health and well-being of young patients, creating an environment of care and support for both the children and their loved ones. Who we’re looking for You’ll bring your current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and previous experience in a paediatric setting to provide expert care to our young patients. You’ll demonstrate a high level of empathy and emotional intelligence, connecting with patients and families in meaningful, supportive ways. You’ll be an exceptional communicator, both verbally and in writing, confidently interacting with patients, their families, and your colleagues to ensure clear and compassionate communication. You’ll embrace flexibility in your work schedule, with the ability to take on a variety of 8-hour shifts, including the opportunity to step in for last-minute shifts when needed. You’ll have full Australian working rights, ensuring you’re ready to contribute to our team with dedication and care.
