The purpose of the Finance Officer is to provide a range of financial and infrastructure project support activities to ensure the effective delivery of the District's QTRIP.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
1. Provide contract administration and support including the provision of contract establishment, preparation of progress payments and management of contract variations to budget for a variety of projects.
2. Delivery of other financial services including accounts payable/receivable, and monthly reconciliations.
3. Provide procurement support, including advice, preparation of procurement documentation and assisting with the tender process related to delivery of the district's road infrastructure program of works.
4. Ensure operational practices and standards of service and performance comply with departmental and regional policies, legislation (incl. WH&S), to meet governance obligations.
5. Assist in the development of local work practices, to ensure compliance requirements are met and consistency of processes for efficient delivery of Q TRIP.
6. Use of a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, project management software (3PCM).
7. Show leadership in coaching other staff within the Procurement & Project Support team.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
8. A current Class 'C' Drivers Licence
9. Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
