Treendale Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint a motivated, contemporary and innovated Deputy Principal who will actively contribute to the leadership team ensuring improved student outcomes is at the core of all decisions. With the development of a new leadership structure at Treendale PS, the successful applicant will continue to develop, manage and support a specific phase of learning.
The successful applicant will ideally lead Special Education Needs (SEN)/Students at Education Risk (SAER) processes within the school. They will ideally possess the ability to collaborate with families and external agencies to support students at-risk, in addition to experience in disability resourcing and complex individual case management. The successful applicant will ideally have experience and professional knowledge in Early Childhood Education, particularly early intervention. They will ideally possess experience in both instructional and strategic leadership; able to collaborate and build the capacity of project leaders who are implementing high quality learning programs and strategies with staff. Professional knowledge and experience in Positive Behaviour Support in School will also be highly regarded.
As a Deputy Principal you will be driven to excel; possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and engage with individuals at all levels. You should be able to collaborate effectively with others to sustain a professional team culture whereby staff feel supported. You will ideally be motivated, self-driven, able to use your initiative, and work collaboratively or independently across all phases of learning.
Located in the suburb of Australind, 20 mins north of Bunbury in the Southwest Educational Region, Treendale PS is now in its 9th year of operation and caters for over 540 students. Our Business Plan in conjunction with our Public School Review Documents drive our whole School teaching and learning programs and are in varying stages of implementation. Our 1:1 iPad BYOD program is successfully implemented across Year 1 to 6, with classroom supplied banks in Pre-Primary to embed our iPad iPromise.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

2. High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes;

4. Capacity to manage staff, physical and financial resources.
