We act for humanity.About the roleRed Cross has been successful in receiving additional funding to expand our homelessness programs in Townsville, allowing us to further grow our teams that provide support to people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of homelessness.The Homelessness Service Hub provides a range of information, support, housing and specialist services to assist people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The Hub is a single entry point to find housing and support in Townsville.In this role, you will work at the Hub, and other Red Cross Homelessness and Housing Services to provide assessment and referral support alongside streamlined case management to individuals and families, operating from a strengths based and capacity building framework to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.What you will bringDemonstrated knowledge of evidence based case management strategies and principlesExperience in delivering case management services to people 'at risk' of and/or experiencing vulnerabilities in a client focused wayExperience in administering Brokerage funds in the context of case management plansDemonstrated ability to work directly with clients at risk of homelessness who have complex needs from a variety of cultural backgroundsDemonstrated experience in establishing strong and effective partnerships with community groups, service providers and other key stakeholdersDemonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people and communitiesHighly developed verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in MS Office and client databasesA current Working with Children check (Blue Card)Benefits that act for you, while you act for humanityFinancial wellbeing: In addition to your pay, you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your pay.
