What you'll be doing
This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialised psychological services within the Safeguards Team, part of the Perinatal Child and Youth Mental Health Services (PCYMHS) at WSLHD. Contribute to impactful, trauma-informed mental health care for children and adolescents.
* Deliver assessments, diagnoses, and tailored interventions.
* Provide short-term, rapid, and flexible care for ages 0–17.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Engage with diverse community settings via face-to-face and telehealth.
* Support recovery-focused, evidence-based mental health services.

Qualification: Accredited post-graduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology OR obtained undergraduate and post graduate qualifications in Psychology.
Registration: Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology, or eligibility to progress to endorsement OR Full general registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
* Masters or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology or international equivalent with full registration with the AHPRA and specialist endorsement in the area of clinical psychology. OR Completed undergraduate and postgraduate study in Psychology with full general registration as a Psychologist and have completed a minimum of one year at the 9th year of service or beyond.
* Extensive effective experience in assessment, intervention, and evaluation of clinical outcomes, particularly in the area of Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently in the provision of consumer-focused care.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved consumer care outcomes.
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and competence in the use of information technology systems.
* Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
* Extensive contemporary experience and knowledge of psychological practice, as well as demonstrated understanding of the principles of trauma-informed care and its application when working with children/adolescents and families/carers.
* Valid Class C Driver’s Licence of NSW
