About This Role
This is a permanent position in the Mental Health Department, working within a community-based mental health team. You will be responsible for providing direct clinical care to consumers with complex mental health problems, as well as contributing to the development of procedures and policy that influence community service provision.
Your Responsibilities
* Provide effective, coordinated client- and family-centred Paediatric care
* Maintain the standard of clinical assessments, diagnosis, brief interventions, discharge and handover of the consumers
* Support the consultant psychiatrist in providing clinical oversight of care
* Ensure accurate and prompt documentation of direct clinical work and care procedures
* Provide training and education to psychiatry registrars and advanced paediatric trainees
Requirements
* Registration as a medical practitioner and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians
* Extensive experience in working in developmental and behavioural paediatrics
* Accreditation as an RACP Supervisor (desirable)
About Our Department
RCH Mental Health is a Level 5 tertiary Infant, Child and Family Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, comprising community and hospital-based services. We are currently undergoing an exciting transformation and expansion, implementing recommendations from the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System.
