Tax and Budget Managers Executive Level 1As a Tax or Budget Manager in ASIS, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and effective financial support to the organisation. Your contribution will go towards ensuring the financial integrity of ASIS and its business groups. This will involve effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders, as well as ensuring compliance with all aspects of Australian legislative and regulatory requirements.We are seeking committed and experienced finance professionals to fill positions within our organisation. The roles incorporate a diverse set of responsibilities, including budgeting, financial management, and reporting. You will be working closely with senior personnel and other internal and external stakeholders and will be called upon to provide professional advice.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKSThe following is an overview of key responsibilities and tasks:Manage one of the following technical areas of responsibility:Budget ManagementLead and manage the budgets team;Contribute to internal and external budget management;Contribute to New Policy Proposals;Internal budget management reporting;Engagement with Resource Managers;Manage working relationships with relevant stakeholders.TaxationLead and manage the tax team;Prepare tax lodgements i.e., FBT and GST;Conduct research and provide technical tax advice as directed;Manage working relationships with relevant stakeholders.Develop, implement and review relevant financial policy;Capability development and management of team members.EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSThe following education, qualifications, and/or experience will be highly regarded:Demonstrated experience in public or private sector financial accounting practices;Expert knowledge of financial management best practice;Excellent oral and written communication skills;Member, or working towards membership, of Institute of Chartered Accountants or Certified Practising Accountants or equivalent.
