You will be part of a broader specialist team of allied professionals delivering high quality services to individuals, families and children in family law, child protection, domestic and family violence and related areas including at courts, from our offices and outreach locations.
As a Senior Practitioner, Children and Families, you will:
1. Provide expert and independent clinical and forensic assessments and evidence for consideration by judicial officers who make decisions in relation to children.
2. Provide trauma-informed, and culturally appropriate brief intervention mental health support services for persons experiencing family law issues.
3. Help the Principal Practitioner to supervise, motivate, train and develop a dedicated team of family assessment consultants and mental health practitioners to help them reach their potential.
You will also have the opportunity to work on projects, develop and deliver training packages, and support policy development in Legal Aid Queensland. The role also offers the further opportunity to conduct family dispute resolution conferences, if you are appropriately qualitied.
