Purpose of the Role
As an auxiliary firefighter, you will be part of a team that delivers high-quality fire, rescue, emergency, and disaster management services through a single agency.
Key Requirements
* Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies
* Live or work within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station
* Australian Permanent Resident Status
* Manual C Class driver's licence
Your Key Accountabilities
1. Respond to fire and other emergency incidents as a member of a team
2. Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities
3. Develop and maintain competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses
4. Maintain attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
5. Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively
6. Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities
7. Ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities
8. Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration
