Job DescriptionAbout the OpportunityOur Place-based team is currently looking for an Advisor to join their team, supporting the Kimberley region.
The role will ensure smooth operation of place-based initiatives by coordinating financial, contractual, and reporting systems while also strengthening local partnerships and community engagement efforts.Reporting to the Head of Place, and closely mentored by the Principal Place-based, Broome, your day to day will include:Supporting the partnerships process end to end, including establishment and onboarding of partners, drafting of proposals, contracting, reporting, and measurement and learning to align with the Place strategy.Managing partnerships agreements ensuring timely follow ups on invoices and payments.Providing finance support by uploading supplier details, ensuring timely follow ups on invoices and payments, and maintaining accurate account management through the relevant systems.Assisting with monitoring of budgets, financial reporting and funding allocations across key place-based initiatives.Coordinating workshops, planning meetings and other events between Place partners.Managing administration governance of the Place projects, ensuring key documentation is reviewed and filed.Working closely with Place Partner Communities and Bodies of Work to deliver localised initiatives, events, communications and engagement activities.Coordinating funding application processes including liaising with local working groups and teams, managing the timeline, and coordinating the assessment of grants and allocation of funds.QualificationsAbout YouThis role is reserved for First Nations candidates who have knowledge and understanding of working in and with First Nations peoples and their communities.Tertiary study and or experience in community development, communications, social impact, or similar relevant subject is essential to your success.In addition, you will have:Previous exposure to grant and partnerships management, and the associated governance and administration.Previous experience working in either government or the not-for-profit sector.Confidence in communicating with partners and stakeholders, collaborating to accomplish work.An analytical mindset with the ability to support strategy with relevant data and insights.Additional InformationNext Steps Please attach your resume and a cover letter explaining why you interested in this opportunity.Applications close: Monday 28th April 2025.Please note we reserve the right to extend closing date and/or close applications early should a suitable candidate be identified.Minderoo Foundation embraces Equal Opportunity and promotes diversity.
