Responsibilities:Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment.Operate roll former, Guillotine, Hydro Bend press, portable welder, air compressor, and other machinery.Control stock levels of material used for product manufacture.Select gauges and types of sheet metal.Drill and punch holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets.Fabricate or alter parts at sites using shears, hammers, punches, and drills.Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts using hand tools and portable power tools.Maintain equipment, making repairs and modifications when necessary.Transport prefabricated parts to sites for assembly and installation.Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions.Help with design and construction of new products and prototypes.Fulfill other duties as required by management and other department personnel.Requirements:Professional approach.Ability to work under pressure.Organizational and time management skills.Excellent attention to detail.Analytical thinking.Initiative.Business awareness.Strategic thinking.Positive approach to change.The above list is not exhaustive, and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a sheet metal worker?Do you have fabrication experience?How much notice are you required to give your current employer?Are you willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check?
