We are excited to welcome like-minded travellers to volunteer on our permaculture property 30 mins drive from the uncrowded beaches of Yamba, close to Maclean. Volunteers will work in exchange for a caravan and camp kitchen set up, with hot water showers and facilities. If you are looking to volunteer to renew your visa, we are in a flood recovery zone post code 2463. The hours you spend with us can be accrued for 2nd/3rd Working holiday visa holders. We also welcome volunteers who are not renewing visas and looking for a unique experience. We are specifically looking for two people who are happy to complete their 88 days with us in a volunteer caretaker capacity. Starting Jan 1st. We have 146 acres of protected coastal wetland in the Clarence Valley and inviting volunteers to help in both bush regeneration and general farm management. Specifically we are looking Volunteers that also have experience with carpentry, building or even marketing/social media. If you have past experience with gardening or permaculture please let us know. We have a two cosy Belle tents for 30 day volunteeers plus a cosy camper trailer available with access to camp kitchen, hot outdoor shower and composting toilet. During your stay we share dinner once per week and volunteers bring their own meals. You are able to stay in a WOOFING capacity meaning you exchange 3.5 hours per day for room and utilities. This is 24 hours per week including roughly 2 hours per day looking after animals and general garden maintenance. We ask for a the 88 days stay subject to a 7 day preliminary visit to make sure it is a good fit for all. We are a plant based, non drinking /smoking & substance free home with yoga and mindfulness principles. We have also travelled around the globe extensively and understand how it is to be in a foreign country speaking another language. We make sure our volunteers feel safe and respected while staying on this farm We are establishing a permaculture education centre and food forest garden based on regenerative principles and welcome any volunteers eager to learn more about this way of living.
