Base pay range
A$110.00/hr - A$140.00/hr
Our client is a renowned global engineering consultancy, known for delivering large-scale, complex projects across the resources sector. They are currently looking to appoint a Quality Manager for a major brownfields upgrade project for a leading operator in the mining industry. This Perth-based, office-centric role will be offered on a 12-month contract with the potential for extension, depending on project requirements and performance.
Role Overview:
As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality performance standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. This includes managing audit processes, developing and implementing quality assurance training programs, and liaising with third-party certification bodies. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance with industry standards, ensuring corrective actions are applied consistently to prevent nonconformity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and report quality performance indicators to management via regular audit reporting
* Conduct internal audits and second-party supplier audits in line with the agreed schedule
* Liaise with accredited certification bodies to ensure audits and corrective actions are implemented
* Develop and deliver quality assurance and business improvement training for project delivery teams
* Manage and monitor the issues database to ensure corrective actions are applied consistently to prevent recurrence of nonconformities
Candidate Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Quality Management, Business Management, HSEQ, or a related field
* AS/NZS ISO 9001 auditor qualification, with eligibility for IRCA registration
* Minimum 6 years’ experience in developing and maintaining Quality Management Systems
* Strong working knowledge of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015 standards
* Previous experience in a multi-disciplinary Project Management or Engineering Services environment
* Cert IV in Training and Competency-Based Assessment is desirable
