The contract performance specialist role provides expert insight and support on managing contracts through the provision of focused contract analysis to enable effective contract performance management including delivery of operational requirements and KPI reporting with a focus on financial analytics and decision support. You are responsible for providing relevant team(s) with expert knowledge of, and advice on business unit processes and products/services to help identify and assess business problems/opportunities while proposing solutions that meet project or customer requirements. With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank and is part of the Distribution, Network Operations and Delivery team. This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of contract performance, KPIs and Financial metrics which reflect the performance of each contract enabling the business to effectively track progress against business objectives and to facilitate and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Drive effective and efficient processes for contract administration including the development and implementation of digital Contract Performance Dashboards with drill throughs to allow easy understanding of contract performance to stakeholders. Provide insights in opportunities for improved contract outcomes. Assist Contract Leads and Contract Managers in the identification, assessment and mitigation of commercial risks through effective specialist contract insight. Lead the regular assessment of contract performance against business case forecasts and work with business units to improve poor performing contracts and/or develop exit strategies. Provide analytical decision support in any changes to contracted pricing and/or contract frameworks. Lead development and implementation of systems, tools, and processes to ensure the contract management team meets all agreed internal and external reporting requirements with respect to operational contracts. Develop and maintain professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective interfaces and reasonable expectations. Foster a positive delivery-focused commercial/contracts culture in Network Operations & Delivery. Manage team resource allocation through balancing competing business priorities. You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Experience in Commercial/Contract Analytics, Reporting and Insights. Current knowledge and experience with financial budgeting and planning. Current knowledge and experience with contractual law and regulations. Experience in contract Analytics, Insights and Performance Reporting. Strong understanding of contract governance, management and delivery. Good understanding of legal and regulatory requirements impacting contracts. Good understanding managing strategic partnerships to drive performance and value. Excellent verbal and written communication. Excellent reporting and analytics experience. Professional qualification / certification from related professional body (e.g. Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS)) is an advantage.
