UI/UX Designer - 8-month contract - Baseline Clearance Required - Canberra/Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane/Adelaide

Global Technology Consultancy - Canberra based with offices based out of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide.
Role Scope
This is an initial 8-month contract, for an ongoing program of work with 6-month extensions.
The UI Designer will be responsible for designing intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces for an external-facing portal, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) that includes developers, testers, systems analysts, and product owners.
Reporting to the Scrum Master, the UI Designer will play a key role in crafting user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience, ensuring the portal is easy to navigate and meets both functional and aesthetic requirement.

Key accountabilities
* Design intuitive, visually engaging, and responsive user interfaces for the external-facing portal, ensuring consistency and alignment with the overall product vision.
* Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes that translate user and business requirements into effective design solutions.
* Ensure the UI is future proofed by optimised for various devices and screen sizes, providing a seamless user experience across platforms.
* Work closely with developers, systems analysts, testers, and product owners to ensure that UI designs are implemented accurately and meet both technical and functional requirements.
* Apply user-cantered design principles to create interfaces that enhance usability, accessibility, and engagement for end users.
* Conduct usability testing and analyse user feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on the design to improve the overall experience.
Skill Requirements
* Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, including usability testing, user research, and information architecture.
* Experience with responsive and adaptive design, ensuring the user interface works across various devices and screen sizes.
* Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with developers, stakeholders, and other team members.
