The role
As our new Employee Coordinator, you will play a critical role in leading, developing and supporting our Rockhampton region Support Workers and Domestic Assistants to achieve high individual and team performance, high engagement, positive employee relations, and a positive, responsive, and respectful workplace culture.
This role is offered as a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday (8.30am – 4.36pm).

Reporting to the Team Leader Employee Engagement, you will:
Coordinate initiatives and programs aimed at promoting employee engagement, wellbeing, and a positive workplace culture.
Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure effective workforce planning is conducted to meet customer service requirements.
With support from the People and Culture Team, maintain effective staff performance including performance management and development.
Support the employee onboarding process, including management of local recruitment and selection, new employee orientation, induction training, buddy shifts, and probationary reviews.
Develop and facilitate training sessions to improve and enhance the skills, capabilities, and performance of direct reports and promote professional development opportunities.
Use data sources to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance practice performance.
Provide accurate and timely operational updates, identifying any potential performance concerns and areas of risk and emergent issues.
Maintain and support safety in the workplace, ensuring compliance with WHS policy and procedures and participating in risk mitigation strategies.
Work with direct reports to improve performance including leave liabilities, mandatory training, quality and safety, budget, and activity.

About You
In addition to your strong leadership experience and customer service ethos, you will possess a positive attitude for working in community aged care and a passion for continuous improvement and professional development.
You will also bring to our team:
Demonstrated work experience within the aged care or community care industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including effective consultation and negotiation skills.
A proven ability to motivate others towards achieving goals.
Highly developed organisational and time management skills with demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
An ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team, and represent the organisation to key stakeholders.
Excellent attention to detail and a proven ability to achieve high standards of data integrity.
A strong sense of respect for confidentiality, resilience, and good problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of quality human service delivery, and community support services industry reforms is desirable but not essential.
