Job Description: Grade 3 or Grade 4 depending on candidate’s skills and experience Part Time Appointment (16 hours per week) Fixed term 12 month (until 10/4/26) Friendly and supportive team environment Excellent benefits including salary packaging Based at Kew About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for a Grade 3 or Garde 4 Neuropsychologist to join SVHM’s Health Independence Program (HIP) Cognitive Dementia & Memory Service (CDAMS) – Geriatric Medical Clinic (GMC). CDAMS-GMC is an outpatient clinic for adults in the community experiencing changes in their cognition and/or daily function. You will be working in a multidisciplinary team and assessing clients with the possibility of an emerging dementia disorder. The role requires sound diagnostic skills, and the ability to provide high quality psychoeducation, supportive counselling, and management advice to clients, carers, colleagues, and relevant service providers. A sound understanding of capacity related issues is valuable, along with experience in the application of neuropsychology practice and principles with younger adults presenting with ABI or ID and their families. The CDAMS-GMC Clinics operate on Mondays and Thursday mornings so availability to work these days is essential. Classifications for this position will range from: Psychologist Grade 3 Yr 1 - Yr 4, PL1 - PL4 ($108,279 - $123,905 per annum, pro rata) Psychologist Grade 4 Yr 1 - Yr 5, PM1 - PM5 ($123,302 - $148,309 per annum, pro rata) Your Contribution Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a psychologist Endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology from the Psychology Board Australia Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology recognised by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Eligibility to register as a Board-approved student supervisor Extensive knowledge in dementia and memory loss, with a focus on early diagnosis issues and knowledge of related psychological, behavioural, social and health issues Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with evidence of working well within a multidisciplinary setting. CDAMS-GMC is a specialist diagnostic clinic for people over the age of 50 who are worried about memory loss or changes to their thinking. The multidisciplinary team consists of Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Geriatrician, Aged Psychiatrists and admin.
