About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to join our team and oversee the efficient operation of our store. This role requires a hands-on leader with a proven ability to manage retail operations, drive sales, and provide exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies for the store while training staff on products, service delivery, and sales techniques.
* Preparing and analysing financial reports, including monthly and quarterly summaries, to identify market trends, set budgets, and plan for profitability.
* Collaborating with the marketing team to determine seasonal stock ranges and highlight popular, "on-trend" tile and flooring products.
* Managing stock levels efficiently by monitoring inventory and coordinating the ordering process for tiles and flooring products.
* Advising customers on product selection, providing quality assurance, and offering tailored quotes to meet their needs.
* Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and local traders to foster loyalty and drive repeat business.
* Setting product pricing based on market analysis and sales targets to maximize profitability.
* Overseeing the recruitment, training, and supervision of sales staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
* Ensuring the store complies with occupational health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar retail management role within the same industry is a bonus.
* Strong understanding of retail operations, stock control, and customer service standards.
* Proven ability to lead and train staff effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
