You will be at the forefront of driving innovation and ensuring the effectiveness of our credit risk management and business automation models. Your work will directly contribute to forming business strategies. You will capture business problems and views, considering them in your model builds to provide actionable insights and solutions.ResponsibilitiesUtilising data science and modelling techniques in SAS or Python to drive model development.Monitoring model performance and supporting the building, automation, and maintenance of a suite of Tableau reports.Analysing the performance of existing credit risk models and providing insights on their strengths, weaknesses, and applicability to the relevant portfolio.Proactively researching new ways of building models to help Bankwest push the boundaries of models while staying within Risk Appetite.Performing deep dive analytics into areas of particular interest or concern.Working closely with colleagues in the broader Credit Insights team and analytics community.Demonstrating Group values and adhering to the Code of Conduct.We are interested to hear from people who haveDemonstrated experience in reporting, MI, or a business analytics role and are looking to step into predictive modelling.The ability to generate actionable value-add insights from data using tools such as SAS, Tableau, and Python.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders of varying backgrounds.A risk mindset, with the ability to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss, and act on current and future risks.Degree qualifications or equivalent with strong academic grades in mathematics, statistics, econometric modelling, quantitative methods, portfolio modelling, data science, computer science, or other analytical disciplines.If you live the values we can offer great opportunities, whether you want to move across the organisation or up into a leadership role.
