The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered General or Clinical Psychologist to join a dedicated Allied Health Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessment, therapy, and intervention services to individuals experiencing complex mental health conditions. Working within a multidisciplinary team, this role also involves consultancy, education, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver evidence-based psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of clients with complex mental health needs.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement harm minimisation strategies, including crisis intervention for suicide and violence risk cases.
* Provide individual and group-based therapy, ensuring best practices in psychological treatment.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Maintain professional standards in documentation, reporting, and compliance with APS and AHPRA guidelines.
* Engage in case management, crisis response, and safety monitoring.
* Supervise and mentor students and less experienced staff as appropriate.
* Contribute to professional development and remain up to date with industry best practices.
* Actively participate in community engagement and advocacy initiatives.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a passion for mental health care and a commitment to providing client-centered psychological services .
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Psychology with full registration under APS and AHPRA .
* Experience in psychological assessments, psychometric testing, and therapeutic interventions .
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
* Knowledge of evidence-based psychological treatment approaches .
* Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with systems such as CRM and SharePoint .
* Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
* Valid Queensland Driver’s License .
