Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Aboriginal Health Practice Nurse's for short and long term contracts (6-12 weeks) in various locations throughout rural Australia. These roles involve delivering professional, evidence-based healthcare to children and the community, with a special emphasis on Aboriginal health. Ideal candidates will have experience in both practice settings and working with Aboriginal communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver primary healthcare services to Aboriginal patients, focusing on prevention, treatment, and health education.
* Support chronic disease management, maternal and child health, and immunization programs.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
* Work closely with community leaders to promote culturally safe health practices.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
* Experience in Aboriginal health and/or rural and remote healthcare.
* Strong cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
